Residential Trash/Recycling Collection

                                                                           What to recycle

Call to action! Mansfield's residential waste has increased. In fiscal year 2019 the amount of waste made that year per person was 468 pounds. In fiscal year 2021 it rose to 502 pounds per person per year. Preventing wasted food, recycling and composting can trim your waste footprint.

4 Things You Need to Know About Mansfield's Pay-As-You-Throw Trash Service:

  1. Waste disposal is treated as a utility - you pay for the amount of waste you produce (referred to as "Pay As You Throw")
  2. You are not charged for most recyclables
  3. Recycle and compost and you’ll save money
  4. You have the option to use the Town-contracted curbside service or self haul to the Mansfield transfer station. The transfer station is located at 221 Warrenville Road, Mansfield Center, CT 06250 (Driving Directions).
