Weekly Storytimes
Toddler Time
Tuesdays at 10:30AM
Learn, dance and play with Miss Emily through stories and songs at the library! After storytime, families are invited to stay and play with friends. This program is best for toddlers ages 1-3, but all families are welcome. No registration needed.
Wonder Workshop
Thursdays @ 4-6PM
Families are invited to drop-in between 4-6PM as Buchanan Auditorium is transformed weekly into a Wonder Workshop, featuring STEAM activities, themed crafts, and tactile play. This program is best for preschool and elementary age children, but all families are welcome. No registration needed.
Music & Movement
Fridays at 10:30AM
Let’s move! Sing, dance and move your bodies in this interactive, music-based program, held in Buchanan Auditorium at the library. Music & Movement will help young children develop early literacy skills and emphasize fundamental motor skills through fun for the whole family. This program is best for ages 0-4, but all families are welcome. No registration needed.
Saturday Storytime
Saturdays at 10:30AM
Join us for Saturday morning stories & songs at the library! After storytime, families are invited to stay and play with friends. This program is best for ages 0-7, but all families are welcome. No registration necessary.
February Special Events
Take Your Child to the Library Day
Saturday, February 4th: Storytimes at 10:30AM & 2PM
All families are invited to sing, dance and enjoy silly stories with Miss Emily during MPL's regular Saturday Storytime at 10:30AM or an additional storytime at 2PM. Drop-in library-themed crafts and activities will also be available ALL DAY! No registration needed. Celebrate Black Authors & Illustrators at the Library!
Tuesday, February 21st: Storytimes at 10:30AM & 2PM
Celebrate Black History Month at the library! Join us for special storytimes featuring books created by Black authors and illustrators. The 10:30AM storytime will be best for toddlers & preschool age children and the 2PM storytime will be best for elementary age children, but all families are welcome at either. After the storytimes, families are invited to create collages celebrating the artwork of Black illustrators, such as Oge Mora and Christian Robinson. This craft will also be available on a drop-in basis all day. No registration needed.
