The Pequot Story: Celebrating Heritage

Tuesday, October 11

11: 00 AM - 12:00 PM

Join us for this fascinating look at Pequot history, life and culture designed especially for a family audience.  A museum educator will bring a variety of hands-on objects, photographs and materials that illustrate and teach about life in a Pequot coastal village in the 1600s. You'll learn about how the arrival of Europeans brought dramatic changes, and explore together the differences between Pequot life then and now.  Thank you to the Connecticut Humanities Council for helping to fund this program

We're Liking the Vikings at our Family Halloween Party!

Sunday , October 23

2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

We're celebrating Halloween this year with a fun-filled Viking-themed party!  Who wouldn't want to dodge lightning bolts and hammers on Thor's Obstacle Course or try the Valhalla Table Toss?  You can also enjoy the Longboat Photo Op, find your true Viking name, scribble on the graffiti wall (in runes of course), and go on a Viking Rubber Duck Scavenger Hunt. And more! So put on your costume and come to the Library for a great family party!
