Access to this event is *FREE to Mansfield residents.
Residents of any town are welcome; purchase of a Mansfield Community Center day pass required for access to Family Fun event activities for non-residents.
*Activities indicated with an asterisk require registration and may have an associated fee.
All activities in the below list will be on site at the Mansfield Community Center and its grounds.
Schedule of Events
10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. - | Passport to Explore Your Backyard Kick-off Event Check-in! Pick up your summer passport to help explore the parks. Stay for the guided hike at 10:30! |
10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. - | Free Guided Hike in Whetton Woods Leaves from the Mansfield Community Center. Meet in the Community Room. Families welcome, but hike is not stroller friendly. |
12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. | *Parking Lot Picassos! Register by April 16th (Free) to share your artist flare and decorate a Mansfield Community Center parking space with chalk art! |
12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. | Family Fun Event! Build a fort, tumble and play with the BIG BLUE BLOCKS and tot toys in the gym, or get a little adventurous on the giant inflatable gym slide, visit the track for Family track time, or play together in the Teen Center; available to families for ping pong, billiards, and more! Play on the pool WIBIT on Saturdays. |
12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. | Activity Booths!

1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. | *Saturday Social Group SNSG is a drop in program for adults and teens (age 15+) with developmental and/or cognitive disabilities. Come participate in Earth Day themed activities, socialize, & make new friends! First time participants must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. $6 for residents, $7 for non-residents. |
10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. | *Lyrid's Meteor Shower Group Viewing Register by April 21st (Free) then come together to watch the largest Spring meteor shower peak. Bring blankets and viewing items and count how many shooting stars you can see! |

- Mansfield's Annual Tag Sale Trail! One persons trash is another's treasure! Join April 29th to shop and sell! Sellers must register by April 17th. Non-residents welcome to register for spaces in the Mansfield Community Center gymnasium, home/business listings must be in Mansfield.
- National Prescription Drug Take Back Day- It's Spring, time to CLEANUP your medicine cabinet of unneeded Rx meds and drop them off on April 22, 10 am-2 pm, local time at the Mansfield Community Center, for proper disposal. For additional drop-off sites check out www.DEATakeBack.com
