January 2, 2024 - last day for members of a major party (Democrat or Republican)
to transfer enrollment from one party to the other
In order to vote in the "new" party's presidential primary
March 12, 2024 - Absentee ballots for Presidential Primary become available
March 15, 2024 - Mail-in registration application for new voters must be postmarked or received by this date
March 15, 2024 - Mail-in registration application for unaffiliated voters must be received, not just postmarked by this date
March 15, 2024 - 11:59PM - Online registration deadline
March 26, 27, 28, 30, 2024 - Early Voting period. Town Hall, 10am-6pm.
April 1, 2024 - 12:00 noon - In-person enrollment at Town Hall for new voters and unaffiliated voters for voting in the primary
Special deadlines for early voting:
Unaffiliated voters who wish to change to a party in order to vote during the early voting period, must do so before noon on March 25
New (unregistered) voters who wish to vote during the early voting period, must register before noon on the day before they wish to vote
What We Do
As provided by law, the Registrars of Voters maintain the voter registration records for the Town of Mansfield. The Registrars’ duties include:
- Conducting the annual canvass of registered voters between January and May to ensure records are accurate and complete
- Managing elections, primaries and referenda
- Locating and training poll workers
- Handling requests for voter registration and education
- Processing mail-in and cross-town voter registrations
The Registrars are elected biennially and work a part-time schedule for the Town. Citizens can also contact the Town Clerk’s Office with questions concerning voter registration and related items.
