Other Things:

  • The Mansfield Holiday Program is now accepting monetary and gift card donations to brighten the holidays for Mansfield families. We are also accepting applications for assistance to those who may need some extra sparkle around the holidays. https://www.mansfieldct.gov/2358/Holiday-Program 
  • Trick-or-Treat in Downtown Storrs: Calling all goblins, ghouls, and ghosts! The Mansfield Downtown Partnership will host Trick-or-Treat in Downtown Storrs on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This fun, free event is open to everyone and takes place rain or shine. Children are invited to dress in their Halloween best and receive treats from participating Downtown Storrs businesses. Look for more information at downtownstorrs.org/halloween. Trick-or-Treat concludes at five o’clock, but the fun doesn’t end then! Walk over to the Mansfield Community Center for their annual Halloween Party and Trick-a-Trunk. Both events are free and take place from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

Fall Fun

  • Holmberg Orchards, Gales Ferry. Open for pick-your-own apples, pumpkins, hayrides, yummy treats and their very own line of wines and hard ciders. http://holmbergorchards.com/

  • Walktober, all over CT, through the first week of November. The Last Green Valley celebrates the change of seasons every year with the best activities to get you and your family outside.
