Evan Delaney is an up and coming classical guitarist with an extensive background in electric guitar, having played in several bands, both jazz and rock. He is now teaching guitar for the Mansfield Community Center, Brookside Music, and the Rhode Island Philharmonic, playing gigs extensively, and entering in competitions, having come second in the “Frank A. Wallace Memorial Scholarship Competition” and the Great Composer’s Competition Series’ “Music of America Competition”.

Thomas Busemeyer 

Thomas Busemeyer - Guitar


Availability: Thomas is available for in-person lessons on Mondays, 2:00-5:30 pm, Tuesdays 3:00-6:00 pm, and Fridays after 3:30 pm.

 Thomas Busemeyer has been playing guitar in Connecticut for over 10 years and has been teaching for 5. From a very young age, he played with various groups in Northwestern Connecticut, eventually becoming a teacher at Downright Music in Collinsville, CT. He has played in a variety of settings, from locally run shows to professionally organized musical theater productions. Thomas now studies Political Science at the University of Connecticut, where he continues to play music with his band, Ruby Leftstep. He also continues to teach at Music and Arts in Avon, CT. Thomas is passionate and enthusiastic about guiding his students along their own musical journey, and feels that it is a privilege to be able to help his students cultivate their love for music.” 

Christopher Farnham

Chris Farnham - Guitar

Guitar, Bass, Drums, & Piano Instructor

Availability: Chris is available for virtual lessons on Tuesdays, before 3:00 pm.

Chris Farnham has taught private guitar, bass, drums, and piano lessons as well as band and ensemble lessons with children and adults for over twenty years, mainly through his own business. In addition to working at Farmington Valley Academy Montessori, Chris has taught at the Green Streets Arts Center in Middletown, CT and at the Hebrew High School of New England in West Hartford, CT and at Music and Arts in Avon, CT. He teaches private and group lessons as well as classes in music theory and composition and directs bands and choruses. He presently has over forty students of various levels.

 Chris also performs on the guitar, bass, drums, and piano, playing in various genres.

 Chris has a degree in music from the University Of Hartford, Hartt School Of Music where he studied composition and music theory. He graduation from Hartt Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA and is a member of Phi Kappa Lambda, the music honors society. He has studied at University of Bridgeport (Jazz Studies program), Southern Connecticut State University and Yale University. He has studied bass with Drew Gress, Alphonso Johnson and Steve Clarke.
