The Mansfield Library Advisory Board shall advocate for the library and represent the community by advising the Library Director on matters concerning public library services, and shall perform any other duties as may be given it by the Council. Examples of such activities include, but are not limited to the following:
Providing a forum for public communication on library issues
Supporting the library for local, state, regional, and national legislative initiatives
Assisting the library to promote the library's resources and services
Provide support for management initiatives and decisions
Assisting the library director in determining the library's mission and vision
Participating in short and long-range strategic planning
Assisting the library in community needs assessments
