Pay Online
Please check that rabies and spay/neuter documentation requirements (below) have been met before paying online. A $3.95 vendor service fee applies. License and tag(s) will be mailed to your address on file after payment and documentation have been verified. Pay online here.
New Dogs
If you prefer to license remotely rather than going to Town Hall, please fill out the New Dog Registration Form online or fill out the Online Payment Form (if paying online) to ensure the Town Clerk has all the data needed to issue your dog’s first license. Rabies vaccination and spay/neuter documentation (if applicable) are required.
Rabies Vaccine Requirement
The rabies vaccine must 1) be current at the time of licensing AND 2) (if licensing in June) expire on a date later than 6/30/2025. A dog cannot be licensed in the State of Connecticut until the Town Clerk has received the correct fees AND has received documentation of valid rabies vaccination.
New rabies vaccination documentation may be emailed (as a photo, PDF etc.) to dogs@mansfieldct.org . Please remember to provide the address associated with your account when emailing our office.
No proof of rabies vaccine is required if the rabies vaccine expiration date on the reminder notice you received from the Town Clerk meets the above requirements.
Spay/Neuter Documentation
A dog cannot be licensed in the State of Connecticut until the Town Clerk has received the correct fees AND has received documentation of spay/neuter, if applicable.
New spay/neuter documentation may be emailed (as a photo, PDF etc.) to dogs@mansfieldct.org . Please remember to provide the address associated with your account when emailing our office.
No documentation is required if the spay/neuter information on the reminder notice you received from the Town Clerk is accurate.
Payment Options

- In person during Town Hall business hours. In person payment options include cash, check, credit/debit (no service fee) and Apply Pay.
